One Killed And Another Injured On Mopac Austin Car Crash
Austin, TX — Monday 23rd, 2022. One person was killed in a wrong-way crash on MoPac in central Austin. The crash happened in the 2600 block of MoPac Expressway northbound around 5:41 a.m., Austin Police said. That’s near Northwood Road.
Police say that the at-fault driver was heading the wrong way in the northbound toll lane when he collided with another vehicle traveling north. He was pronounced dead at the scene,
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
This crash caused to shut down all lanes except the far right one of MoPac northbound. The Austin Fire Department also responded to the scene.
